Billing flow doesn't have a cancel button

Trying to cancel a paid plan we ended up having to email support multiple times. The dashboard does not have a clear cancel or delete account control which feels intentional. Engineering team likes the API, finance team was unhappy about the cancellation friction. We're still on it because the migration cost is real but we noted it for renewal.

BYO LLM let us ship Claude in production same week

We had a hard requirement to ship with Claude for the reasoning layer because the cohort we were piloting with already had Anthropic vendor approval. Reserved capacity contract solved our scaling story

Once we got past 5k concurrent calls the elastic pricing started doing weird things at peak. We renegotiated to reserved capacity which made our unit economics predictable. Provider swap mid-build was a non-event

We had OpenAI dependency in the original prototype, then a customer asked us to deploy in a region with data residency requirements so we needed Anthropic via Bedrock. With Vapi this was a config change, not a rewrite. Stacked pricing requires a spreadsheet but the actual code surface is the cleanest in this category. SOC 2 was a hard requirement and they delivered that paperwork.
